The makers of Caught are trying to do something about
the wave of vandalism, antisocial behaviour and wanton
property damage that the police alone cannot control.
Using concealed cameras, they show neighbourhood nuisances
in the act, and American viewers who recognise a face
can call in and receive a reward. They have a few tricks
up there sleeves to rustle the wannabe bad doers as well
- like for example the old Money Tree scam. It's simple
really - just stick loads of money to the branches of
a tree, sit back and wait for the punters to swing by
and say 'Hey, who said money doesn't grow on trees', make
a lunge - then el whamo - they've been CAUGHT.
