Extrovert Graham is an Elton
John and Billy Joel tribute singer and has been in show
business most of his adult life. He loves the limelight,
the applause and the adoration but like so many performers,
behind his stage persona there hides an insecure and
deeply confused man.
He finds it very difficult
to socialise, as he is extremely self-conscious about
the weight he has put on in the last few years. After
a performance he will still be high on the rush of the
moment but rather than meet his audience he will lock
himself away in his dressing room - and drink alone.
He
gets so down about his weight, he ends up comfort eating
and is caught in a vicious circle – he wants to lose
weight but is so upset at what he sees in the mirror he
finds solace in food and consequently gets even fatter.
But
now he has another compelling reason to get fit - his
five-year-old son with whom he wants to keep up and play
sports. After a string of failed marriages and affairs, plus the cutthroat and youthful world
of show business, Graham needs an energy and confidence
boost.
