Welsh rugby star Gavin Henson is set to cheat death this summer in a gruelling and dramatic TV show that will turn him into a human guinea pig, with electrifying results…literally.
Human Guinea Pig will see the sportsman place his faith in science - and test his pain threshold to its very limits by taking a direct hit of 750,000 volts of electricity directly to the head from a Tesla Coil, a specially designed mega-generator, something never before done on TV. Every reaction and emotion is genuine…Gavin has no clue what will be asked of him when he walks on set for the first time.
Presented by Dermot Murnaghan, this is crunch time for the rugby hero as he prepares to immerse himself in an electrifying and death-defying experiment that will truly prove whether he is man or mouse, all in front of family and close friends.
Daredevil scientist Greg Foot, a science junkie renowned for pushing the boundaries of extreme experiments, will demonstrate the very real jeopardy, pain and danger using a variety of methods and demonstrations that would make even the bravest volunteer think twice.
Greg has just one hour to convince Gavin to make this possible life changing decision and place his life solely in the hand of science by showing Gavin an array of jaw dropping stunts showing the extreme damage that electricity really can do. Unsure, and with obvious trepidation, Gavin mulls over the challenge, and what his final decision will be.
